Shower normally – it is perfectly fine for the wound to get wet in the shower, however if you do this, after your shower, clean the wound as above and replace the dressing. Do not submerge the wound or participate in water activities like swimming until the wound is healed.
Can you take a bath after getting a mole removed?
You may shower normally and get water on the wound, but do not immerse the area in water (e.g. swimming, baths) until the stitches have been removed. Leave any tape on the wound until you have your stitches removed. You can shower as normal and gently pat the area dry.
